ABOUT 11:ELEVEN GALLERY

Founded in 2019, 11:Eleven gallery is a contemporary art gallery based in Downtown Washington, DC, now operating across 5,000 sq ft within the historic National Press Building.
The gallery presents a dynamic programme of exhibitions and events, showcasing emerging and established artists across contemporary and urban practices, with works available to collect.
THE GALLERY
Structured across four distinct spaces, the Main, Annex, Atrium galleries, and Dining Room, 11:Eleven gallery presents multiple exhibitions simultaneously, offering a layered and immersive experience of contemporary art.

APPROACH

11:Eleven gallery works collaboratively with artists, presenting both curated exhibitions and independent presentations.
This approach supports flexibility, experimentation, and a broader dialogue between artists and audiences.
FOUNDER
11:Eleven gallery was founded by curator Nicola Charles, whose work bridges the Washington, DC, and international art scenes.
Nicola completed curatorial studies at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London, and has worked alongside leading dealers in the secondary market, gaining insight into blue-chip contemporary art.
Originally from London, she brings an international perspective to the gallery’s programme and the Washington, DC art scene. She currently serves on the global curatorial board for Artfinder.com and on the board of Directors at Project Create, which supports arts education for underserved youth.
